Collard Greens
serves 4-6
Ingredients:
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 tablespoon butter
½ cup onion, chopped
1 teaspoon Flavour De La Baye Hot Pepper Sauce
3 teaspoons garlic, finely chopped
1 pound collard greens
3 cups water or vegetable stock
2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar
2 teaspoons salt and pepper combined
1 teaspoon liquid smoke
Directions:
In a large pot over medium heat, heat oil and butter. Sauté onions and garlic for about 2 minutes, add the Flavour De La Baye Hot Pepper Sauce.
Add collard greens, vinegar, and liquid smoke and saute for 2 minutes. Add the stock or water, cover and bring to a simmer.
Cook for about 40 minutes or until greens are tender. Season with salt and pepper if needed.
